Deputy Aaron Tavares of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office serves as a dedicated K-9 handler alongside his partner, Nox, a highly trained German Shepherd specializing in narcotics detection, tracking, and evidence recovery. After completing an intensive 12-week certification program in late 2024, the team has quickly made an impact both in the field and the community, earning top honors at regional K-9 competitions—including a first-place department team finish in 2026. Known for their professionalism and strong community presence, Deputy Tavares and Nox regularly engage with local residents through demonstrations and school visits, making them a valued part of public safety outreach. They are proud to be part of this year’s Delano 4th of July Celebration, celebrating and connecting with the community they serve.
